Waste Collection ~ Compost Collection
For residents in the urban Meaford area, household compost collection will now be on either Wednesdays or Thursdays, depending on your location, as identified in the attached Map and Schedule pages.
Please place your compost in a bio-degradable/compostable bag at the end of your laneway by 7:00 a.m. All residents of the Municipality of Meaford may drop off compostable material at 87 Stewart St.
Compostable material includes:
- fruits,
- vegetables,
- meats,
- bones,
- shell fish,
- poultry,
- dairy products,
- eggs including egg shells,
- cooked foods and leftovers,
- coffee grounds,
- tea bags,
- paper hand towels, and
- facial tissue.
